So I started Aztec Showtrax 14 years ago! I can’t believe it’s been that long! And in that time we have provided our Uniquely Spectacular Performance Tracks to Theatre Companies literally ALL OVER the World!
I’ve lost track of how many countries we’ve been lucky enough to serve! It’s been REALLY cool to see the breadth of reach of our little Musical Theatre Community and just how far the genius’ behind Broadway’s Best Musicals have had their stories told and shows done.
But back in 2015 we were contacted by the director of the US Army Theater in Germany. They had an On-Base Theatre Troupe that would produce musicals for the active military and their families serving on the area. They wanted to know how much it cost to rent music for one of our shows.
I think it took Jim and I a grand total of about 3 seconds to look at each other and respond “NOTHING!!”
We sent Peter an email asking them to please accept the donation of our tracks as a Massively Insignificant “Thank You” to all the American Military serving on their base and in their region.
We also asked him to pass on our offer to provide free musical performance tracks to ANY and ALL Active Military Theatre Companies around the world!
The next day we received the following email which I must say, completely warmed our cockles… :)
Guys, I would be lying if I said that I ever imagined our little company would ever be in a position to have a positive impact on the lives of the men and women who serve in our armed forces and their families - even if it’s just a small contribution.
Every time we have one of our Military Companies reach out to inquire about Tracks, it absolutely humbles us to think of what’s going on in the everyday lives of those who will be using them!
Words cannot express our gratitude for their service and for the opportunity to serve them even just a little bit.

It’s a little known fact that there’s NOTHING I wanted to be more in my entire life growing up than a Fighter Pilot! I even applied to the Air Force Academy, just never ended up going!
So this picture was EXTRA EXTRA cool for me!
Who knows, maybe one day something truly crazy might happen - Theatre might be the impetus for making one of my biggest dreams come true - flying in a fighter jet!
